St. Jude is the only pediatric cancer research center where families never pay for treatment, regardless of their financial situation.
It’s not just a children’s hospital but a research hospital where patients are referred by a physician, and generally have a disease currently under study.
It is open to all children regardless of age, gender or race.
It’s not an ER, they don’t even have one.
It is a not for profit – any cure they find is immediately shared with hospitals everywhere
Families never receive a bill from St. Jude for treatment, travel, housing and food – because all a family should worry about is helping their child live. It is about more than the treatment plan, it’s about the whole child {school, housing, food, fun}
